A complete success: kick-off of the #Mutmachleuteontour

The kick-off event on January 9, 2023 in the foyer of the Kreissparkasse in Starnberg was a complete success!!
After a welcome by the board representative Tina Meffert of the Mutmachleute e.V., Mrs. Vice Mayor Angelika Kammerl spoke a greeting with great respect for the work of our association.
The deputy district administrator Britta Hundesrügge held a grandiose speech about the importance of public relations and the appreciative and respectful treatment of mentally ill people.
Ms. District Councilor Martina Neubauer gave a keynote speech from the district perspective.
Armin Rösl, deputy chairman of the German Depression League, rounded off the opening with a wonderful contribution from his own perspective, especially with regard to self-help and its potential.
In the following press and expert discussion with coffee and cake a lively exchange took place. Actors from associations, institutions, self-help groups and initiatives, authorities and politics came together in a wonderful way. This resulted in many new contacts – in the spirit of networking. The exhibition, which will now tour Germany, was admired on all sides and the courage of the people was praised.
We have already received many inquiries from visitors from authorities, self-help initiatives, institutions and other facilities, and even guided tours took place during the two-week exhibition.
We were particularly pleased about the visit of many courageous people, who are to be seen on the exhibitors and who were available for the press as well as for professionals for many conversations. With their courageous statements they shared the view of self-help with their personal experiences.
